SOUTHAVEN, Miss. --- Tusculum University's Noah Jones fired a career-best 66 (-4) in the final round of the 2019 Buccaneer Spring Classic.  Jones posted a two-day score of 74-66=140 to tie for fourth place and earn a spot on the All-Tournament team.

The Pioneers shot a final round team score of 287 to finish with a 36-hole total of 586 and climb four spots up the leaderboard to tie for fifth place.

Jones opened with a one-under par 34 on his outward nine which included birdies on the third and fifth holes and a bogey on No. 7.  He shot 32 (-3) on his final nine including two birdies and an eagle three on the par-five 13th hole.

West Georgia led wire-to-wire to claim the team title with 562 to win by one shot over runner-up Delta State who shot 563 including a final round 274.  Host Christian Brothers was third with 567 while Murray State CC was fourth (583).  Tusculum and Mississippi College tied for fifth place honors at 586.  Rogers State was seventh with 587, followed by Kentucky Wesleyan (591), Miles College (597), Shorter (604), Arkansas-Monticello (606), Lincoln University (607), Christian Brothers B (611), Quincy (640) and LeMoyne-Owen (687).

West Georgia's Samuel Jones ran away with medalist honors as posted a 12-under par total of 128 including a final round 61 (-9).  In Tuesday's round, he recorded seven birdies and an eagle to win by seven shots over Jackson Singletary of Christian Brothers (70-65=135).  Delta State's Zach Zediker finished third with 69-69=138 while the trio of Noah Jones (TU), Lucas Mota (West Georgia) and Wilson Powell (Arkansas-Monticello) tied for fourth place at 140.

Tusculum's Jeffrey Perez shot 75-71=146 to tie for 19th place and earn a top-20 finish.  Liam Sweeney tied for 28th with 74-75=149, Matt DiBella placed 39th with 76-75=151 and Kyle Engelbert shot 78-77=155 to finish 59th.

The Pioneers return home this weekend to host the 26th annual Tusculum Invitational at Link Hills Country Club.  The opening round begins at 9:15 a.m. this Saturday morning.
