Men's Golf in 11th place at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. --- The Tusculum University men's golf team posted a 306 and is in 11th place after day one of the 2018 Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.  The two-day, 36-hole event is being conducted on the par-71, 6,709-yard Lions Paw Course at the Ocean Ridge Plantation.

Host Lincoln Memorial shot a five-under par 279 and leads by 11 shots over Lenoir-Rhyne and Barton who each fired 290.  North Greenville is fourth with 294, followed by Limestone (295), Anderson (302), Virginia Union (303), Belmont Abbey (304), Cape Fear (304), Emmanuel (305), Tusculum, Virginia-Wise (313), Mount Olive (313), Chowan (339) and Fayetteville State (351) to comprise the 15-team field.

LMU's Dan Bradbury shot a three-under par 68 and leads by one shot over teammate Andrew Briggs and Barton's Bryson Boyette who each carded 69.

Tusculum was led by Matt DiBella as the Greeneville, Tennessee junior shot 75 and is tied for 26th place.  Liam Sweeney and Noah Jones are tied for 31st place as the TU duo each shot 76.  Bennett Noe is in 51st place with a 79 while rookie Jordan Williams is 63rd after shooting 81.

The final round will be played on Tuesday at the Ocean Ridge Plantation.
