Tusculum announces upcoming men's golf schedule

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's golf team has released its 2018-2019 schedule announced Pioneer head coach Ross Cash. (2018-19 Schedule)

Tusculum will play in 10 regular-season tournaments leading up to the 2019 South Atlantic Conference Championship in April.

The Pioneers will play in the Mars Hill Invitational on Sep. 24-25 at Broadmoor Golf Links in Fletcher, North Carolina.  It will be TU's inaugural trip to this event.

Tusculum opens the month of October at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.  This year's event (Oct. 1-2) will be held at the Ocean Ridge Plantation.  I regular fall stop for the Tusculum women's program but this will be the men's first trip to Sunset Beach since 2008.

The Pioneers will close out the fall portion of its schedule Oct. 15-16 at the Walters State Fall Classic in Morristown, Tennessee.   In its five previous trips to the Country Club of Morristown, Tusculum has been victorious three times (2012, 2014, 2015) to go along with a pair of top-five performances.

TU resumes play Feb. 11-12 at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate in Fleming Island, Florida followed by another trip south on Feb. 25-26 for the Hilton Head Invitational in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Tusculum will play its remaining season schedule back in Tennessee beginning with a trip to Memphis for the Buccaneer Spring Classic hosted by Christian Brothers University and held at the Germantown Country Club.

The Pioneers return home to host the 26th annual Tusculum Invitational on Mar. 16-17.  TU has won its home spring tournament in three of the last four years and nine times overall.

The regular season comes to a conclusion on Apr. 1-2 for the Tennessee River Rumble in Loudon, Tennessee.  The NCAA II star-studded field will once again be held at the Tennessee National Golf Club.

Tusculum will be at the 2019 SAC Championship on Apr. 14-16 and will be held for the first time in Camden, South Carolina and hosted by Coker College.  The winner of the tournament earns the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Tournament.  Tusculum captured its lone SAC Championship in 2015 and have finished runner-up in the event on three occasions.

The NCAA II Super Regional will be held May 9-11 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida.  The NCAA National Championship will be conducted May 20-24 in Daniels, West Virginia at the Resort at Glade Springs.
