Tusculum Men's golf inks Chris Hutson

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Chris Hutson has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum College and play golf for the Pioneers announced TC men's coach Bob Dibble.

Hutson, a native of Knoxville, Tenn., will join the Pioneer program next fall following the conclusion of his prep career at Farragut High School.

Hutson has qualified for the 3A State Tournament in each of the last three years and has posted a top-10 finish at the 2011 District 4 AAA with a round of 73. He posted another top-10 finish at the 2011 Region 2 AAA with a 77 and carded a pair of eagles in his final round 74 at the 2011 State Tournament.

"Chris is a very good player now and will get even better once he arrives and gets a chance to play collegiate golf," said Coach Dibble.

The 2011 All-KIL selection finished in the top 10 at the 2012 District 4 AAA Championship with a 76 and another top-10 performance at the 2012 Region 2 AAA Tournament.

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of 10 colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
