Tusculum men listed 36th in Golfstat rankings

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team is ranked 36th in the nation according to this week's Golfstat Division II head-to-head standings.

The Pioneers are also listed in four team statistical categories, while junior Derek Cantrell (Knoxville, Tenn.) is mentioned, individually.

Tusculum is 10th in par three scoring (3.19), 18th in par four scoring (4.20) and 20th in team average score (74.43). TC is also tied for sixth in team eagles with six, led by Cantrell's three eagles, which are tied for the fourth most in the country.

Tusculum has wrapped up a very successful fall season as the Pioneers won the Anderson Invitational and followed with runner-up performances at the Honda Columbia Classic and the Tusculum Fall Classic. TC's worst showing came last month at the Lincoln Memorial Invitational, where the Pioneers finished a respectable fourth place.

Tusculum returns to action on Feb. 6-7 as the Pioneers travel to Panama City, Fla. for the Outback Steakhouse Intercollegiate.
