TUSCULUM MEN'S GOLF FINISHES SEVENTH AT SHADWICK INVITATIONAL

SENECA, S.C. --- The Tusculum College men's golf team carded consecutive rounds of 303 to shoot 606 to finish seventh at the Jack Shadwick Invitational at the Cross Creek Plantation.

Tusculum's Chris Wynne shot 71-72=143 (+1) to finish fourth and earning a spot on the All-Tournament team. Teammate Chase Carroll posted 73-72=145 to finish eighth while also gaining All-Tournament recognition. Jake Scheffers posted 82-76=158, Lawson George shot 77-83=160 and Glenn Vicary rounded out the TC scoring with 86-91=177.

North Greenville finished first in the 19-team event with 576, nine shots better than second place Methodist. Wingate finished third with 598, followed by Lincoln Memorial (600), Cape Fear (600), Southern Wesleyan (604), Tusculum, Spartanburg Methodist (612), Queens (612) and Tri-County (625) to round out the top 10.

The Pioneers return to action next week as they host the Tusculum Fall Classic at Link Hills Country Club. Tusculum won last year's inaugural event.
