Jamere Hogue was named to the Tusculum University coaching staff in 2017 is responsible for the Pioneers' defensive line. He also serves as the program's equipment coordinator and handles the student assistant program.

Hogue, a native of Morristown, Tennessee, spent the last two years as the defensive line coach at former South Atlantic Conference member Brevard College during the 2015 and 2016 campaigns.  While at the Brevard, North Carolina school he also served as the program's strength coordinator and oversaw the Tornados study hall program.

He played his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Tennessee Tech where he lettered for four seasons and was a three-year starter for the Golden Eagles.  He was named team captain in 2011 and was tabbed as the team's most valuable defensive lineman in his senior campaign.  He finished his career at the Cookeville school with 82 career tackles, including 14 for loss, four sacks and an interception. He played the 2009 season on offense where he was a tight end and accounted for seven receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Hogue earned his Bachelor's of Science degree from Tech in 2012 in exercise and social sciences.

Hogue played his prep career at Morristown West High School where he was a three-sport athlete.  He was a three-time All-Conference selection in both football and basketball for the Trojans.  He also garnered All-Northeast Tennessee first team honor and was a two-time second team pick on the All-Region squad.  Also lettered three season on the track and field team.
