Pratt named TSWA College Offensive Football Player of the Week

NASHVILLE --- Tusculum University running back Lor'renzo Pratt has been named the State College Football Offensive Player of the Week by the Tennessee Sportswriters Association (TSWA).

Pratt, a senior from Cocoa, Florida, rushed for a career-high 151 yards and scored four touchdowns in Tusculum's 41-28 victory over Carson-Newman.  He scored three rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter and returned a kickoff 91 yards for a score in the first half.

Pratt tied the score at 14-14 in the second quarter with his kickoff return for a TD and a one-yard plunge with 11:10 remaining in the contest put the Pioneers ahead, 27-21. He added a 47-yard TD run just over two minutes later and another one-yard touchdown all but sealed the win for Tusculum with 3:45 in the State's second oldest college football rivalry.

Pratt finished the game with 262 all-purpose yards (151 rushing, 12 receiving, 99 return) which is the seven-highest in a TU game in program history.  His four touchdowns are tied with four other players for the second-most in school history.

Tusculum (5-3) will be on the road this Saturday as they take on VMI (NCAA-FCS) for a 1:30 p.m. contest in Lexington, Virginia in the first meeting between the Pioneers and the Keydets (0-8).
