JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University spirit squad program captured six blue ribbons at the UCA & UDA Camp which was held this past weekend on the campus of East Tennessee State University.  Over 800 cheerleaders, dancers and mascots attended the event.

The Pioneers earned five blue superior ribbons in cheer which included categories in fight song, chant, sideline, game day and band dance.  Tusculum also received a blue superior ribbon and superior plaque in dance.  In the mascot category, TU earned the red excellence ribbon as well as a superior plaque.

Along with the competition awards, Tusculum was named the Most Improved Program and garnered two second place plaques and a third place award as the Pioneers competed in Small CoEd Division II classification.
