Hayden Pewitt

Hayden Pewitt was named as a graduate assistant coach with the Tusculum University baseball program in August 2018.  He works with the TU pitchers, catchers and also assists with the Pioneers' recruiting efforts.

Pewitt already has a wealth of coaching experience in both the junior college and summer league levels.

He previously served on the coaching staffs at Motlow State Community College and Spokane Falls Community College.  His summer league head coach coaching experience includes stints with the Badlands Bad Sticks in North Dakota as well as the 16U Knights Baseball Club in Nashville.  He also coached with the Knoxville Stars 15U Team.

His collegiate playing experience included two seasons at Motlow State and one year with Midland University in Freemont, Nebraska.  At Midland, he appearend in 52 games with 51 starts for the Warriors behind the plate where he recorded 280 putouts and 42 assists for a .982 fielding percentage.  He batted .246 with the Warriors with eight doubles, one home run and 19 RBI.

Pewitt graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2017 with a Bachelors degree in leisure, sport and tourism studies.
