Tusculum baseball ranked eighth in NCBWA Region Poll

WINGATE, N.C. --- Tusculum University is listed eighth in this week's Southeast Region Poll by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

The Pioneers (26-15, 13-5 SAC) are one of four South Atlantic Conference teams mentioned in this week's rankings.

North Greenville is the unanimous top-ranked team in the region as the Crusaders have a 31-7 overall record and received all 10 number one votes.  Newberry is second with 84 total points, followed by Catawba (83), North Georgia (71), Mount Olive (56), Lincoln Memorial (55), Young Harris (32), Tusculum (26), Columbus State (19) and Georgia College (6).

Following Tuesday's road game at King, the Pioneers will start a seven-game home-stand to close out the regular season beginning with this weekend's SAC series against Lincoln Memorial.  TU has won all six of its SAC series this year.
