ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum's Charles Hall has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week announced league officials Tuesday.

Hall, a right-handed junior from Dumfries, Virginia pitched eight shutout innings with a career-high 11 strikeouts in Tusculum's 10-1 win over SAC foe Catawba last week. He scattered three hits and allowed four walks, while earning his first win in a Tusculum uniform.

In a gutty 127-pitch performance as he worked out of a pair of testy jams in the third and fourth innings. In the third, he got out of a one-out bases loaded situation. In the fourth, the first two batters got aboard, but Hall bounced back to get out of trouble.

Tusculum (12-13) returns to action on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. contest at Lee University.
