GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Haley Davis has signed a national letter of intent to attend Tusculum and play beach volleyball for the Pioneers announced TC head coach Ashton Hippenstiel.  Davis becomes the initial signee for Coach Hippenstiel and the beach volleyball program which will play its inaugural season during the 2018-19 academic year.

Davis, a native of Ayden, North Carolina, was a three-time All-Conference selection at Ayden-Grifton High School.  She led the Chargers volleyball program to a 21-3 record and its first conference championship in over four decades.  Her volleyball team made history by advancing past the first round of the playoffs for the first time in four decades, moving onto the fourth round.

"I am very happy to be able to build this program around Haley," said Hippenstiel. "She brings a tremendous work ethic and the natural ability to lead in both her community and athletics."

Davis is a multi-time Open Queen of the Beach honoree and earned first place accolades in the co-ed division of the Wilmington Volleyball Series. She competed in nationals three years in a row, playing at Virginia Beach, Wisconsin and Siesta Key in Florida.

She has placed in the top-five in every beach tournament for the current ESPL season.

Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tennessee, is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, USA and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference.
