PEMBROKE, N.C. --- Three Tusculum College student-athletes have been named to the 2017 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II All-Southeast Region Team. Starting pitchers Ethan Carpenter and Tim Hardy, along with third baseman John Topoleski all received honorable mention recognition.
AUSTIN, Texas --- Tusculum women’s tennis standout Franziska Funke has been named to the 2017 NCAA Division Academic All-District 3 Women’s At-Large first team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The three-day, 54-hole event was held at The Members Club at Woodcreek and hosted by Newberry College.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. --- Sarah Kenley hit a walkoff home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as Lenoir-Rhyne defeated Tusculum 5-4 in the opening round of the South Atlantic Conference Softball Championship tournament Thursday afternoon at Byerly Park.
SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum men’s golf team carded a two-day, 27-hole score of 437 to finish fifth at the 2017 South Atlantic Conference Championship. The rain-shortened event was held at the 6,685-yard, par-71 Country Club of Salisbury. The 54-hole tournament was reduced to 27 holes due to heavy rains and flood over the past three days of the event.
INDIANAPOLIS --- The Tusculum women's tennis team will participate in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional after earning an automatic bid by winning the South Atlantic Conference Championship tournament last weekend, following the release of the bracket Tuesday night.
