Ryan Poss was named head strength and conditioning coach at Tusculum University in August 2018.

Poss is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the comprehensive strength and conditioning program for Tusculum’s 24 intercollegiate sports.  He will assist student-athletes with the designing and implementing strength, agility, speed, flexibility and conditioning programs.

He came to Tusculum after serving the last two years with the athletic department at Northern Michigan University.  He served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at NMU during the 2016-17 academic year and was promoted to the department’s head strength and conditioning coach in 2017-18.

He served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Moravian College in 2015-2016 and served as an intern at his alma mater, Kennesaw State University from 2014-15.

He played collegiately with the USC Upstate baseball team where he was a Dean’s List honoree.  He later transferred to Kennesaw State where he also garnered Dean’s list accolades.

Poss, a native of Marietta, Georgia, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

He graduated from Kennesaw State in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and health science.
