Tusculum to discontinue bowling programs

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University has announced it will immediately discontinue its men's and women's bowling programs.

The University will continue to honor the scholarships and financial aid for the remaining student-athletes for the duration of their academic careers at Tusculum.

"This was a very difficult decision for Tusculum and one which was not taken lightly. We want to thank everyone associated with the programs for their dedication and commitment," said Josh Ealy, TU Director of Athletics. "We wish those student-athletes affected all the best as they continue their education and we are dedicated to assist them in their next steps."

The women's program started competing at the NCAA level in 2018-19 and were associate members of the East Coast Conference and later Conference Carolinas. The men's team, which began competing as a club sport in 2019, were associate members of Conference Carolinas for the past two years.

Tusculum University currently sponsors 23 intercollegiate sports and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference.
