GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University Vice President for Athletics and University Initiatives Doug Jones has issued a statement regarding recent events in our country.
"As I continue to try and process the tragic events that have occurred in our nation and the senseless loss of lives, social injustice and racial violence, it has been difficult to place my emotions into words. I cannot fathom to know the pain and suffering that the African-American community is feeling, especially for our Tusculum students, coaches, staff and alumni. I know this pain is real. Racism and lack of care for the life of our fellow man must stop. We must find a way to bring all people together through meaningful, thoughtful and positive change. We must do our part to ensure support is provided and all voices are heard. God has created us all in HIS image and we should cherish each other, love one another, encourage each other and strive to become stronger together as we move forward."
