GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's and women's basketball teams have the fifth-best combined won-loss percentage of all colleges and universities in the State of Tennessee.
Tusculum's basketball teams have a combined 19-7 record for a .731 won-loss percentage which is currently listed fifth of the 32 four-year colleges and universities in the state which sponsor both a men's and women's program.
The TU men are 10-4 and are tied for second in the South Atlantic Conference standings at 5-1. The Tusculum women own a 9-3 overall record and are tied for third place in the league with a 4-2 SAC worksheet.
Lee University has the best combined record in the state at 23-4 for a .852 won-loss percentage, while Memphis (21-7) and Freed-Hardeman (18-6) are tied for second with a .750 percentage. Bryan's 22-8 combined record is fourth-best in the state at .733, while Tusculum rounds out the top-five at .731.
Bethel (23-9, .718) is sixth, followed by Union (20-8, .714), Lincoln Memorial (17-7, .708) and Tennessee (19-8, .703). Vanderbilt (19-9, .678) and Martin Methodist (19-9, .678) are tied for 10th.
Tusculum's won-loss percentage is second in the state amongst Tennessee's 10 NCAA Division II colleges and universities as well.
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Mars Hill for a SAC doubleheader with the women's game tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
