GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University guards Tariq Jenkins and Aliyah Miller have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.

Jenkins, a senior from Riverdale, Georgia, scored a game-high 19 points in Tusculum's 60-57 overtime win at North Georgia on Saturday in TU's only contest of the week.  He shot 6-of-11 from the floor and 6-of-8 at the free throw line while also grabbing five rebounds.

Jenkins leads the Pioneers in scoring averaging 15.3 points per game which is listed 16th in the South Atlantic Conference.

Miller scored a season-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting as the Pioneers routed Johnson & Wales 109-53 in their only action of the week. Miller came off the bench to play 25 minutes, and added six rebounds, three assists and five steals for the Pioneers, who posted their largest point total in a game in nearly 10 years.

The 5-7 freshman from Clarksville, Tennessee, a transfer from Volunteer State, is averaging 7.7 points per game and shooting 48.6 percent (17-for-35) from the field, including 6-for-13 from three-point range, as the Pioneers are off to a 5-1 start.

The Tusculum University Athlete of the Week Award is sponsored by Zaxby's, located at 3280 Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville.  The Zaxby's Athlete of the Week Award honors one male and one female athlete each week from an in-season sport.
