GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University basketball standouts Brandon Mitchell and Yolizma Cupidan have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.

Mitchell scored a career-high 20 points in Tusculum's hard-fought 77-74 loss at Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.  Mitchell, a sophomore from Virginia Beach, Virginia, shot 8-of-11 from the floor and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for the Pioneers.  He also tallied his team-leading 16th blocked shot of the season to give him 52 for his career which are already the fifth-most in program history.  He is averaging 8.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season and his 1.6 blocked shots per game average leads the South Atlantic Conference.

Cupidan scored in double figures in three victories for the Pioneers last week (3-0), averaging 14.3 points per game.
