GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Sunday's South Atlantic Conference basketball doubleheader between Tusculum University and Newberry College has been postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.
The game will be rescheduled and those dates will be announced later.
Winter Storm Diego is anticipated to unleash a heavy mixture of snow and ice in the higher elevations of western North Carolina and east Tennessee which could make travel conditions hazardous.
The Pioneers will continue their preparations for semester final exams this coming week and return to the hardwood next Sunday (Dec. 16) when they host Queens University of Charlotte. The women's game will tip-off at 2 p.m. followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
Next Sunday's games will include a Pioneer Club Tailgate and it is also Alumni Day as all Tusculum alumni will receive free admission to the games.
