Tambe, Bosler named Zaxby's Athletes of the Week

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum University soccer players Ayuk Tambe and Bailey Bosler have been named the Zaxby's Athletes of the Week.

Tambe accounted for all three Pioneer goals in two victories last week, recording two game-winning goals and adding an assist. His goal with three minutes left in the second half was the difference in a 1-0 win over Carson-Newman on Wednesday, and he broke a scoreless tie early in the second half before assisting on a late goal in the Pioneers' 2-0 victory over Newberry on Saturday. Tambe, who has scored a goal in five of the Pioneers' last six matches, leads the team with five goals and three assists for 13 points. The Yaounde, Cameroon native has scored on five of his seven shots on goal this season.

Bosler had six saves as the Pioneers upset 12th-ranked Carson-Newman 2-1 on the road Wednesday night. The freshman from Waterloo, Illinois made three saves in each half to snap the Eagles' 18-match SAC regular-season unbeaten streak and a 17-match home unbeaten streak against SAC opponents. In four starts this season, Bosler has a 2-2 record with a 1.50 goals against average and 25 saves.
