GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Due to the forecast of inclement weather over the next 48 hours, the Tusculum athletic department has announced schedule changes involving its spring sports.
Saturday's men's lacrosse home opener with Shorter has been moved up a day and will be played at 7 p.m. Friday night at Pioneer Field.
This weekend's baseball double round robin involving Tusculum, Notre Dame (Ohio) and Davis & Elkins has been moved back a day and will start on Saturday night with Tusculum and Davis & Elkins playing at 7 p.m. Saturday's schedule tripleheader has been moved to Sunday with Sunday's original schedule now being moved to Monday.
Saturday's Tusculum men's tennis match with North Georgia has been postponed due to illness with the UNG team. The men's match will be rescheduled later. The women's match with No. 22 North Georgia will be played Saturday at 1 p.m. in Knoxville at the Tennessee Tennis Club and Academy.
Saturday's women's lacrosse home game with Belmont Abbey is still slated for 12 p.m. at Pioneer Field as scheduled.
The Tusculum basketball teams will be hosting Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday for a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader. The women's game will tip-off at 2 p.m. and it is Senior Day and the program's annual Play 4 Kay Game. The men's game is slated for 4 p.m. and the Pioneers will also be celebrating Senior Day.
The Tusculum women will wrap up the regular season portion of its home schedule on Monday when they host No. 22 Wingate at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Arena.
