GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum golfers Katie Tomassoni and Anthony Bolden have been named the Bojangles Athletes of the Week.
Tomassoni, a junior from Mason, Ohio, carded a two-day total of 73-73=146 (+2) to win the individual title at the Bob Dibble Classic, held last Monday and Tuesday at Link Hills Country Club. Tomassoni captures her second medalist honor of her career, while leading the Pioneers to the Dibble Classic team title for a third straight year.
Bolden, a sophomore from Mokena, Illinois, finished runner-up at the Dibble Classic with his 36-hole tally of 69-70=139. He and Mars Hill's Harry Butler were tied at three-under par and were forced to go to a playoff where Butler came away with a two-putt birdie on the ninth playoff hole. Bolden led TC to the team title, Tusculum's third straight fall classic title.
The Tusculum College Athlete of the Week Award is sponsored by Bojangles, located at 3240 Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville. The Bojangles Athlete of the Week Award honors one male and one female athlete each week from an in-season sport.
