GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College men and women's golf teams will host the Bob Dibble Classic, this Monday and Tuesday at Link Hills Country Club.
Formerly known as the Tusculum Fall Classic and celebrating its 12th year, the Bob Dibble Classic is named in honor of the long-time Pioneer golf coach, who guided the TC men's program for 28 years and started the women's program 20 seasons ago.
The opening round begins Monday morning with a shotgun start beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday's final round will also be a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
The Fall Classic is a unique collegiate event, celebrating its 11th year this season. The Classic is two tournaments held simultaneously.
The men's tournament will feature nine colleges and universities, including the Pioneers, who are the two-time defending champions and have won this event six times in the 12-year history of the Tusculum fall event (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2015, 2016).
The women's event will feature players from six collegiate programs, including host Tusculum who is also the two-time defending champion and are four-time winners of their home fall tournament (2006, 2012, 2015, 2016).
Participating in this year's men's field with Tusculum are Belmont Abbey, Brevard, Christian Brothers, Mars Hill, Milligan, Spartanburg Methodist, Tennessee Wesleyan and Walters State.
Competing in this year's women's tournament are Tusculum, Brevard, Christian Brothers, Mars Hill, Milligan and Spartanburg Methodist.
Admission to the Bob Dibble Classic is free and open to the public.
